Calling all Racers and Cake Makers

As many of you will know planning is well underway with regards to our summer Road Races on Sunday July 14th. This weekend we're using the Saturday club ride to perform a recce of the race course with a complete lap of the circuit. The goal is to identify potential hazards, potholes, and general changes that may impact the running of the race later on this Summer. If you see anything please respond to this thread. Post photos and use the Gloucestershire pothole reporting app which I would recommend downloading and installing before Saturday.

On race day the intention is to host a BBQ for all the marhsals, NEG, helpers and officials. We'll need your support, not just drivers and accredited marshals, but help with parking, sign on and registration. Importantly, we also need cake makers, if we can attract all the regional clubs to come over and support their participating riders, it will hugely reduce the financial risk of hosting the races. As you all know nothing acts like a better magnet for cyclists than excellent, coffee tea and cake. Please let me know if you would like to help out.

In the meantime if you like the circuit, get your entries in, particularly the women, early entries make the planning so much easier. If you're nervous, don't worry we'll also be doing more women's specific coaching sessions which will be announced very soon.
