Please find below a link to a webpage with plans and details showing cycle and pedestrian route improvements forming the Cheltenham Cycle Spine Phase 2 – Town Centre scheme.
Cheltenham Cycle Spine Phase 2 – Town Centre is an Active Travel project which aims to enhance cycling facilities in Cheltenham, by creating a safe and efficient corridor for cyclists to travel between Lansdown Road railway bridge and Pittville Park, via A40 Lansdown Road, Montpelllier and the town centre.
The route forms part of Gloucestershire’s wider strategy to connect Stroud to Bishop’s Cleeve, incorporating Gloucester and Cheltenham, with a continuous cycle route. The Cheltenham Cycle Spine Phase 2 will form the vital connection between the previously constructed West Cheltenham Transport Improvement Scheme (WCTIS) to the west, and the soon to be constructed A435 Cheltenham to Bishops Cleeve Cycleway Scheme to the north. Details of both of these projects can be found on the Major Projects webpage Major Projects | Highways (gloucestershire.gov.uk)
It is envisaged that the Cheltenham Cycle Spine Phase 2 will allow cyclists quick and convenient access to facilities in Cheltenham town centre, whilst also encouraging an uptake in cycling as a sustainable mode of transport.
Where possible, the scheme aims to work within existing constraints, as well as retain and utilise existing features to minimise the impact on the surrounding environment. This strategy has been adopted where possible throughout the entire length of the project.
The scheme will include:
Installation of new and improved segregated cycleway and footway along the route.
Cyclist and pedestrian improvements at and adjacent to junctions and roundabouts, including new and improved crossing points.

Gloucester's leveling-up bid ought to be successful. It's south of Birmingham.
