Hello all!
As the new Road and Women’s Captains, we’d like to introduce ourselves.
Firstly, all our thanks to Dave Tucker for doing a tremendous job and setting us such a high standard to follow.

I’ve been a member of the club for 3 years, after moving from the Forest of Dean to Cheltenham in December 2019. I’m passionate about cycling in all its forms, and ride road, track, MTB, gravel, CX, SS and fixed. Through work and as part of the club I’m committed to encourage more people to cycle, whether that’s for commuting, fitness or fun, and hopefully expanding the club membership along the way.

There has been a surge in the popularity of women’s cycling since the start of the Pandemic, which is how I found my way into the sport, buying my first road bike during lockdown. Whilst still quite new to cycling, I have a long background in endurance events and sports coaching, and a passion for getting more people engaged in sport at every level. As Women’s Captain I’ll be working to keep the momentum going with women’s cycling at C&CCC – building the female membership (currently at 17%), increasing female participation in club ride and events, and encouraging more women to enjoy the many benefits of cycling.
During our tenure we hope to
• Increase the number of ride leaders
• Create a pathway from the Social Ride
• Develop feeder links between CTW and other young rider groups
• Increase our weekly ride offerings
• Increase club membership, particularly women
• Increase self-sufficiency
We’ll try and get to meet and speak to you all of you, but please feel free to give us any suggestions, requests, questions and feedback – we’re here for you!
