To be eligible for the course, the learner must be 19 or over. After completing the Level 1 Course there will be an opportunity to complete the Level 2. If you would like to discuss the learning opportunities we provide and/or have any questions regarding multiple enrolments, please do not hesitate to get in touch. This could expand you and/or your clubs knowledge. It is virtual classroom based so can be accessed at home on a computer/laptop. Below are the modules in the course:
• Anatomy and Physiology for Cyclists
• Effects of Cycling on the body
• Nutrition for Cyclists
• Taking part in Cycling
• Volunteering in the Cycling Sector
• Using Data to improve Cycling Performance
• Cycling as Part of a Healthy lifestyle
The modules are typically 2-4 hours long and the assessment method is the completion of a series of workbooks.
Course takes places on a Wednesday evening. The live teaching occurs between 6-8pm and live cycling is 8:15-9:00pm.
The course is interactive using Zoom, and features including break out rooms.
The course is targeted at cyclists of all levels and the overarching objective is to help individuals improve their knowledge of cycling fitness and performance. The course is designed in a way that the theoretical concepts are then demonstrated in the live cycling sessions.
The course is certificated and is based upon the completion of workbooks - there is no exam.
