Autumn is definitely here, and with it new hazards - fallen leaves, puddles, hidden potholes and salt.
Here are a few things that will make our club rides safer and more enjoyable over the next months.
Consider fitting wider tyres with lower pressures to give more grip and comfort.
Leaving a bit more of a gap to the rider in front, particularly when going downhill, will give you more time to safely react to hazards.
Making sure you call out the hazards, and pass the information back through the group.
Rinsing off and cleaning the bike after wet rides, particularly if the roads have been gritted, will help make your components last longer.
And finally mudguards. The front mudguard is for you, the rear one is for your clubmates. If the roads are wet please have your mudguards on.
