Hopefully when out on a ride we all have the equipment and ability to fix a puncture. Tubeless riders will need tubeless plugs, sealant, pump, tyre lever, tube, and potentially a tool to remove the valve.
Tubed riders will need a pump, tyre lever and tube. For either set up, we need to make sure we have a tube suitable for our wheels - is the valve long enough to extend through the rim? How long has it been in your pack - have you tested it recently?
It's worth storing the tube in a plastic bag or similar to protect the tube - it can abrade and cause a puncture when in the saddle bag.
