If you're undertaking long back to back days in the saddle, fuelling and hydration is so important. You should view it as constantly topping the tank back up to full, rather than running it down to empty and then refuelling. Practice your strategy on shorter rides and it becomes easier when on a long ride. Everyone one is different but I find energy drink every 15 minutes with a gel or solid food every hour works well for me. The final piece of the puzzle is sleep.
