Due to recent easement of lockdown restrictions by the UK Government, the CTT have now provided conditional approval for club TT events to be organised from early July. However, though we were intending to commence our first planned event on Thursday 9th July (sign on from 6.00 pm), but following a review on the 25th June of the course and discussions with the HQ secretary, we now have to delay this first event to Thursday 16th July on our 10 mile U706 course. The main reasons being due to planned roadworks around Toddington roundabout and the HQ is not open and Covid-19 safe. We are hoping to be able to use their car park which will facilitate controlled parking around the village, but this has yet to be agreed. In respect of the CTT rule compliance for Covid -19 safe events, I am currently considering a plan and will provide further details, in due course.
I hope club members and others from surrounding clubs, support our remaining events, but please be considerate and understanding as the protection of life from the transfer of Covid-19 to others, is our first priority while at the same time trying to recommence our sport.
